Mike Russ — Elite Pitching Development for Youth & High School Athletes

Mike Russ has spent more than 15 years focused exclusively on pitching development, making him a trusted pitching instructor for youth and high school baseball players looking to improve performance while protecting their arms.

Mike works with pitchers at all stages of development, helping younger athletes build strong movement patterns and sound mechanics while guiding high school pitchers toward increased velocity, command, and pitch development. His training philosophy emphasizes arm health first—ensuring pitchers not only throw harder, but stay healthy and durable throughout the season and beyond.

Every pitcher Mike works with receives individualized instruction. Training begins with video analysis and movement assessment, allowing Mike to design a development plan that fits the athlete’s body, age, workload, and goals. This customized approach helps reduce unnecessary stress on the arm while producing consistent, long-term improvement.

A major focus of Mike’s pitching lessons is command and pitch development. Athletes learn how to repeat their delivery, locate the fastball with intent, and develop secondary pitches that complement their strengths. Training also includes understanding how to sequence pitches, compete in game situations, and build confidence on the mound—skills that translate directly to game performance.

In addition to pitching instruction, Mike actively supports families navigating the high school-to-college baseball pathway. He helps pitchers identify realistic college opportunities, prepares them for next-level expectations, and assists with recruiting video creation and presentation. Over the years, Mike has helped hundreds of pitchers earn opportunities at the Junior College level and across NCAA Division III, Division II, and Division I programs.

What truly sets Mike apart is his commitment to education and relationships. He teaches pitchers how to care for their arms, train with purpose, and understand why they are doing what they do. Parents and athletes value his honest communication, accountability-driven coaching style, and health-first approach that always puts the athlete first.

Whether your athlete is just starting to pitch or preparing for high school competition, Mike provides the structure, knowledge, and individualized coaching needed to develop with confidence.

Kaylin Kinney — Elite Softball Pitching & Hitting Instructor | Eastern Iowa

Kaylin Kinney brings elite Division I softball experience and strong Eastern Iowa roots to youth and high school softball athletes seeking high-level instruction in pitching and hitting.

A former Nebraska Cornhusker, Kaylin was a Big Ten standout and team captain, earning Big Ten Player of the Week honors and finishing her career as one of the most reliable pitchers in the conference. During her senior season, she led Nebraska in wins, saves, innings pitched, appearances, strikeouts, and complete games—while also contributing offensively as a hitter.

Kaylin’s playing career included success as both a pitcher and hitter, giving her a unique ability to coach the complete softball athlete. In the circle, she thrived in pressure situations as both a starter and reliever at the Division I level. At the plate, she delivered consistent production, power, and clutch performances.

Before college, Kaylin starred at Cedar Rapids Kennedy High School, where she posted a 67–7 career pitching record, a 0.77 ERA, and 527 strikeouts, while also finishing third in Iowa state history with 55 career home runs. She was a two-time all-state selection, Iowa Gatorade Player of the Year, and helped lead Kennedy to a state championship.

Today, Kaylin Kinney brings that elite experience into the cage and bullpen—working with youth and high school softball players on pitching mechanics, arm care, command, velocity development, hitting fundamentals, power development, and overall game confidence. Her instruction is age-appropriate, detail-driven, and focused on long-term athlete development.

Whether your athlete is just learning proper mechanics or preparing for high school competition and beyond, Kaylin’s goal is simple: develop confident, durable, and fundamentally sound softball players.
